Baseball Recap: Peachtree Academy Takes a Loss

If Peachtree Academy was feeling good fresh off their 16-3 takedown of Horizon Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 13-3 to the Westminster Christian Academy Lions on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Peachtree Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peachtree Academy will take on Covington Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.75 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will challenge Briarwood Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
