Soccer Game Preview: Northgate vs. Brookwood

The Northgate Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Brookwood Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northgate will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Northgate saw some tournament action two weeks ago. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Vikings who were credited with the victory. Northgate got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to East Coweta's four.

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Brookwood duked it out with Meadowcreek two weeks ago. The Broncos came up short against the Mustangs, falling 4-0. The loss continues a trend for Brookwood in their meetings with Meadowcreek: they've now lost three in a row.

Northgate pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those five contests. As for Brookwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
