Softball Recap: Big Pasture Has No Trouble Against Ryan

Big Pasture's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Ryan Cowboys. Considering the Rangers have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sage Tinsley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in August. She was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Kyleigh Martin was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Hester, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Big Pasture always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Big Pasture's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 20-14. As for Ryan, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

As of now, neither Big Pasture nor the Cowboys have any future games scheduled.
