Softball Game Preview: Lincoln County Red Devils vs. Briarwood Academy Buccaneers

Lincoln County came out on top against Thomson on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Kylah Turner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Aysha Elam, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Briarwood Academy came up short against Gatewood on Tuesday and fell 15-10.

Briarwood Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
