Football Game Preview: Lakeside Knights vs. Clifton-Clyde Eagles + How To Watch

Lakeside is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Clifton-Clyde Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Lakeside is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Logan/Palco on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights came up short against Logan/Palco, falling 38-16. The game was a 16-16 toss-up at halftime, but the Knights couldn't quite close it out.

Although Lakeside took the loss, they still got scores from Eli Schmitt and Coby Cline.

Meanwhile, Clifton-Clyde never let their opponents score last Friday. They walked away with an 8-0 victory over Linn. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lakeside fell to 2-1. As for Clifton-Clyde, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Lakeside was taken down by Clifton-Clyde 56-6 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 56-6.
