Soccer Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

If Westside was riding high fresh off their 6-3 takedown of Hephzibah last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Westside Patriots came up short against the Aquinas Fightin' Irish on Thursday, falling 3-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Patriots couldn't quite close it out.

Westside has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. The victory was the fourth in a row for Aquinas, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Coincidentally, Westside and Aquinas will both be playing Howard the next time they take the pitch. Westside will head out to face Howard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Aquinas will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
