Softball Game Preview: Rangeview Raiders vs. Thomas Jefferson Spartans

The Rangeview Raiders will head out to square off against the Thomas Jefferson Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Rangeview and 17 for Thomas Jefferson.

Rangeview lost 13-1 to Denver South on Tuesday.

Rangeview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shannon Henry, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Thomas Jefferson was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Denver North, falling 20-1. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Vikings since Tuesday.

Thomas Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Rangeview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15-1.

Rangeview took their win against Thomas Jefferson in their previous matchup back in August by a conclusive 17-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
