Basketball Recap: Lompoc Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lompoc walked away with it. They snuck past the Mission Oak Hawks with a 36-30 win on Friday.

Lompoc found their leader in sophomore Tiana Terrones, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Barbosa, who scored six points.

Lompoc was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Lompoc's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Mission Oak, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Lompoc will host Tulare Western at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tulare Western will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lompoc surely won't give up without a fight. Mission Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
