Softball Recap: St. Mary's Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Akron-Westfield typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday St. Mary proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Westerners 13-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since July 3, 2024.

St. Mary's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Akron-Westfield, they moved to 20-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither St. Mary's nor the Westerners have any future games scheduled.
