Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crisp County walked away with it. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Burke County Bears on Wednesday. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The win (which was Crisp County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Burke County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Crisp County beat the Bears by a score of 16-1 later that day.
