Volleyball Recap: Pearland's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Pearland's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lamar Texans by a score of 2-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Oilers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Their offense was headlined by Arie Glover and Britney Solomon, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Rojas and her three assists. Aaryn Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Pearland's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Lamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Pearland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Santa Fe on the 21st. As for Lamar, they will be playing at home against Caney Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
