Darian Grieshop had another great game (as he tends to do), as he made all 10 shots he took to post 24 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 40.7% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Will Meyer, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 12 points.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Jac-Cen-Del was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shawe Memorial only posted eight.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Decatur). They strolled past Milan with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 83-65. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Jac-Cen-Del and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for South Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Jac-Cen-Del strolled past South Decatur when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 77-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
