Basketball Recap: Charlotte Crosley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Campbell Hall over Corona Del Mar

Campbell Hall saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corona del Mar Sea Kings.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlotte Crosley, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The game was Crosley's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Romy D'Addario, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Campbell Hall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Campbell Hall has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Corona del Mar, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell Hall will face off against Thousand Oaks at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Corona del Mar, they will take on Fountain Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
