Soccer Game Preview: Clovis vs. Clovis East

The Clovis Cougars will square off against the Clovis East Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Clovis managed to keep up with Clovis North until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Clovis lost 4-1 to Clovis North. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Clovis East was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and Clovis West finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Clovis now has a losing record at 4-5-2. Clovis East's draw gives them a new season record of 4-3-4.
