Basketball Game Preview: Forest Hills Rangers vs. Bedford Bisons

Forest Hills has gone 8-2 against Bedford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Forest Hills Rangers will take on the Bedford Bisons at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Thursday, Forest Hills was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Westmont Hilltop.

Forest Hills might have lost, but man, Aivah Maul was a machine: she went 9 of 22 on her way to 29 points and three steals. Maul has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxtyn Pcola, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bedford took a blow against Bishop Carroll on Monday, falling 60-25. The Bisons haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Forest Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Forest Hills took their win against Bedford in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 57-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest Hills since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
