Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Banning's Third in Last Four Outings

If Narbonne wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Banning, they should've done a better job of containing Sara Gonzales. The Banning Pilots snuck past the Narbonne Gauchos with a 44-39 win on Wednesday thanks in part to Gonzales, who went 7 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2023.

Banning is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points per game. As for Narbonne, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Banning has already played their next game, a 53-42 victory against Gardena on the 17th. As for Narbonne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-4 win against Rancho Dominguez on the 17th.
