Hoopa Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Tamalpais by a score of 61-49.

Hoopa Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Wau'Kel Blake, who posted 27 points, and Ivy Lamebear, who earned 18 points. Hoopa Valley is undefeated when Blake posts 15 or more points, but 8-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmony Nelson, who put up ten points.

Meanwhile, Sonoma Academy waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 62-32 victory over the Dons. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Dons are ranked 808th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sonoma Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points over those games. As for Hoopa Valley, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
