Basketball Recap: Myra Miles Key Part of a Team Effort in Wolverines Win

Rosemont hadn't done well against Amador recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rosemont Wolverines walked away with a 23-15 win over the Amador Buffaloes. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 39-23 victory the Buffaloes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Rosemont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Myra Miles out in front who posted five points and 18 rebounds. Rosemont is 2-1 when Miles posts eight or more boards, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshlynn Jordan, who scored nine points.

Rosemont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The victory got Rosemont back to even at 8-8. As for Amador, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Rosemont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-42 loss against Union Mine on the 15th. As for Amador, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 18-14 win against Galt on the 15th.
