Soccer Recap: Marymount Takes a Loss

Marymount was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers. While losing is never fun, the Sailors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 80th).

Marymount's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Sierra Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-1.

Marymount has already played their next game, a 2-2 draw against Chaminade on the 27th. As for Sierra Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-2 win against Marymount on the 28th.
