Basketball Recap: SEED: LA Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the SEED: LA Grizzlies were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-37 to the New Roads Jaguars.

Despite the defeat, SEED: LA saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Parker Allen posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Martharely Sanchez, who earned six points.

SEED: LA's loss dropped their record down to 1-2. As for New Roads, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

SEED: LA wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 34-15 victory against Southwestern Academy on the 9th. New Roads has also already played their next matchup, a 57-9 defeat against Vistamar on the 6th.
