Football Recap: Mayer Lutheran's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mayer Lutheran's offense. They came up short against the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds on Thursday, falling 20-0. The loss put an end to the Crusaders' undefeated start to the season.

Gabriel Shimanski threw for 67 yards on six of 18 attempts. Wyatt Sunde was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mayer Lutheran fell to 2-1. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
