Soccer Game Preview: Cupertino vs. Wilcox

The Cupertino Pioneers will face off against the Wilcox Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cupertino will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Cupertino is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over MacDonald on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Wilcox has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 2. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milpitas on Tuesday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Chargers couldn't quite close it out.

Wilcox's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14-2. As for Cupertino, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Cupertino beat Wilcox by a goal when the teams last played back in January, winning 1-0. Does Cupertino have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wilcox turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
