Softball Recap: Lincoln Southeast Starts off Right with Win over Lincoln High

Lincoln Southeast had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Lincoln High Links 20-6 on Thursday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Links, too.

Raina Waller was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kacee Harriman, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Lincoln Southeast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln High only posted an OBP of .400.

Lincoln Southeast has already played their next contest, a 13-3 loss against Standing Bear on the 25th. As for Lincoln High, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-2 defeat against Omaha Central on the 22nd.
