Basketball Recap: Hopewell Piles Up the Points Against Ambridge

A well-balanced attack led Hopewell over Ambridge in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hopewell Vikings blew the Ambridge Bridgers out of the water with a 53-15 final score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hopewell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Spang, who posted 11 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Avery Boyd, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 11 points.

Hopewell's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Ambridge, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Hopewell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-33 win against Rochester on the 1st. Ambridge has also already played their next game (against Hampton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
