Softball Game Preview: Boone Central Cardinals vs. St. Cecilia Bluehawks

Saturday just wasn't the day for Boone Central's offense. They lost 11-0 to O'Neill on Saturday. The Cardinals have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Cecilia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Adams Central on Saturday. The Bluehawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.

St. Cecilia's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Boone Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
