Football Recap: Itasca Comes Up Short

Itasca is still winless after their game against Italy on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Gladiators, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wampus Cats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gladiators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Itasca's record now sits at 0-9. As for Italy, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Coming up, Itasca will square off against Axtell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wampus Cats will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. As for Italy, they will take on Dawson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
