Softball Recap: Randolph-Clay Takes a Loss

If Randolph-Clay was riding high fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Terrell County on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils fell just short of the Calhoun County Cougars by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 12-11.

Randolph-Clay moved to 8-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Calhoun County, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-16.

Looking ahead, Randolph-Clay will welcome Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Calhoun County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
