Basketball Recap: Natomas Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Natomas lost against Skyline back in December of 2014 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Natomas Nighthawks took a 53-35 bruising from the Skyline Titans. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Natomas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ana Elkins posted 21 points. That was a full 60% of Natomas' points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Natomas' loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Skyline, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Natomas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-38 victory against El Camino on the 28th. As for Skyline, they will square off against Oakland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
