Citizens Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 13-0 victory. Considering the Patriots have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jonathan Rutland, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Gentry, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Citizens Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .528 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Citizens Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, they moved to 16-14 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
