Basketball Recap: Apple Valley Comes Up Short

Apple Valley and Irvine squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Apple Valley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Irvine Vaqueros by a score of 39-36. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vaqueros this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-39 back in December of 2024.

Apple Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season. As for Irvine, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-10.

Apple Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Irvine, they will take on Heritage Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
