McKenna Lightner commands the offense for a Tigers win

Recap: North Penn-Mansfield Tigers vs. Northern Potter Panthers

After losing to the Northern Potter Panthers the last time they met, the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. North Penn-Mansfield came out on top against Northern Potter by a score of 31-23 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Penn-Mansfield.

North Penn-Mansfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was McKenna Lightner, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Kameron Lightner was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.

North Penn-Mansfield now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Northern Potter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.

North Penn-Mansfield will head out on the road to face off against Cowanesque Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cowanesque Valley is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Northern Potter will be home for the holidays to greet Port Allegany at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Port Allegany focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
