Basketball Game Preview: Menlo-Atherton Bears vs. Aragon Dons

The Menlo-Atherton Bears will take on the Aragon Dons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Menlo-Atherton's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Aragon has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Menlo-Atherton proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-46 win over Hillsdale.

Meanwhile, Aragon posted their closest victory since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past Westmoor 50-47. The win continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Menlo-Atherton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points over those games. As for Aragon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.

Everything came up roses for Menlo-Atherton against Aragon when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 74-38 win. Will Menlo-Atherton repeat their success, or does Aragon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
