Sanderson lost against Cardinal Gibbons back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Crusaders. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

When it comes to explaining why Sanderson lost, don't look at Mireya Chavez. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and one assist. Chavez has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Player #9 was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two aces.

Sanderson's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
