Soccer Game Preview: Eureka vs. St. Bernard's

Eureka is a perfect 10-0 against St. Bernard since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Loggers will square off against the Crusaders at 2:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Saturday, Eureka didn't have quite enough to beat Ferndale and fell 2-1. The loss put an end to Eureka's undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard's faced Del Norte in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Crusaders and the Warriors finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time St. Bernard's have been dealt a draw since back in August.

With that draw, St. Bernard's record moves to 7-3-2. As for Eureka, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1-1.

Everything went Eureka's way against St. Bernard's when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Eureka made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Loggers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
