Baseball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastside Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-3 loss on Friday.

Madison County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Eastside, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-16.

Looking ahead, Madison County will be playing in front of their home fans against Habersham Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eastside, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Oconee at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
