Basketball Recap: Abington Takes a Loss

Abington won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Spring-Ford Rams, falling 69-48. The Galloping Ghosts were down 50-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Spring-Ford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kareena Preuss, who went 7 for 10 en route to 16 points and eight boards. The match was Preuss' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christina Tiffan, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 15 points.

Abington's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Spring-Ford, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Abington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Spring-Ford has already played their next game (against Methacton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
