Basketball Game Preview: Bishop McDevitt Crusaders vs. Boiling Springs Bubblers

The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders and the Boiling Springs Bubblers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated (Bishop McDevitt has four wins , while Boiling Springs has seven dating back to last season).

Bishop McDevitt is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Camp Hill: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Bishop McDevitt's way against Camp Hill last Thursday as Bishop McDevitt made off with a 48-22 win. That's two games straight that the Crusaders have won by exactly 26 points.

Isabella Jones and Leilah Horshaw were among the main playmakers for Bishop McDevitt as the former went 7 of 13 on her way to 19 points and three steals and the latter posted four points and 11 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tess Watson, who put up six points.

Bishop McDevitt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Camp Hill only pulled down two offensive rebounds.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Boiling Springs against West Perry on Wednesday as the team secured a 55-25 victory. The Bubblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Boiling Springs pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points per game. As for Bishop McDevitt, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Bishop McDevitt didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Boiling Springs in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 37-31 win.
