Hugoton is still undefeated this season after their game against Scott on Friday, but Scott came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Beavers 17-14. Those 17 points were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Hugoton's record now sits at 5-0. As for Scott, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hugoton will face off against rival Cimarron on Friday. Meanwhile, Scott is set to square off against their familiar foe Holcomb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Beavers 6, the Longhorns 11.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
