Baseball Game Preview: Webster County Bobcats vs. Tattnall Square Academy Trojans

The Webster County Bobcats will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Webster County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Webster County played against Chattahoochee County back in April and lost via forfeit.

Tattnall Square Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Edmund Burke Academy on Wednesday. The Trojans blew past the Spartans 11-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their one-run performance the match before.

Tucker Brown made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brown was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Marquez Wilson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Griffey Gorman, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Tattnall Square Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in February.

Tattnall Square Academy pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Webster County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
