Softball Recap: Sonoraville's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 11

Sonoraville waltzed into their game on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Ringgold Tigers. With that victory, the Phoenix brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Ansley Hall made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Sitten, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marley Hall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Sonoraville's record now sits at 17-4. As for Ringgold, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sonoraville is set to take on their familiar foe Murray County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Phoenix 1.4, the Indians 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ringgold will challenge rival Coahulla Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
