Recap: Victor Valley Christian Royals vs. Excelsior Charter Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Victor Valley Christian Royals, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were dealt a 69-18 loss at the hands of Excelsior Charter on Tuesday. Victor Valley Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Excelsior Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.
Leading Excelsior Charter to victory were Alexys Gomez and Jazynda Juneau. Gomez scored 19 points, while Juneau scored 24 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Juneau has scored at least a third of Excelsior Charter's points. Another player making a difference was Joaneliz Miranda, who scored eight points.
Victor Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Excelsior Charter, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Victor Valley Christian will head out on the road to square off against Excelsior Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Excelsior Charter, they will be playing at home against Victor Valley Christian at 5:00 p.m. Victor Valley Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
