St. Martin's Episcopal won against East Jefferson last Wednesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. St. Martin's Episcopal walked away with a 5-2 win over the Willow Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

St. Martin's Episcopal's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Willow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Martin's Episcopal will host Newman at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Newman's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so St. Martin's Episcopal's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Willow, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Metairie Park Country Day.
