Basketball Game Preview: University Wildcats vs. Palisades Dolphins

University is 0-10 against Palisades since February of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The University Wildcats will welcome the Palisades Dolphins at 4:30 p.m.

University is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They took a blow against Cleveland, falling 48-7. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Palisades can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game two weeks ago. They walked away with a 58-47 victory over Oaks Christian. Given the Dolphins' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Lions are ranked 539th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Palisades, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

University was dealt a bruising 73-30 loss at the hands of Palisades in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can University avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
