Soccer Game Preview: Encina vs. Forest Lake Christian

The Encina Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Forest Lake Christian Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Encina has given up an average of 4.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Encina is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Westlake Charter, who was ranked second at the time (Encina was ranked 13th). The Bulldogs lost 5-0 to the Explorers on Wednesday. It was the first time this season that Encina let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, Forest Lake Christian and Futures finished up their game with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Encina's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. With that draw, Forest Lake Christian's record moves to 3-4-2.

Encina took their victory against Forest Lake Christian when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
