Shade extends road losing streak to eight

Recap: Shade Panthers vs. Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays

This season hasn't been kind to the Shade Panthers, who are still winless after their 14th game. They were dealt a 70-39 loss at the hands of Conemaugh Valley on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Shade has suffered since December 28, 2023.

Conemaugh Valley found their leader in underclassman Sarah Miller, who scored 22 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison McCleester, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Shade's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Conemaugh Valley, their victory ended a 19-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shade will take on Meyersdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meyersdale is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Conemaugh Valley, Conemaugh Valley and Blacklick Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Blacklick Valley will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
