Baseball Recap: Lanier Extends Winning Streak to Two

Lanier extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Washington-Wilkes. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 6-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Wednesday.

The victory made it two in a row for Lanier and bumps their season record up to 9-23. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Washington-Wilkes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-21.

Looking ahead, Lanier will square off against Seminole County on Tuesday. Washington-Wilkes will be paying especially close attention to the Longhorns' contest: after the Longhorns face off against Cherokee Bluff, they'll take on Washington-Wilkes again.
