Softball Recap: St. Dominic Extends Winning Streak to Four

St. Dominic entered their tilt with Howell North on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Knights. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

The team relied heavily on Avery Cattoor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marissa Schneider, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

St. Dominic's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Howell North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Dominic will host St. Francis Borgia at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crusaders 2.9, the Knights 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Howell North, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Howell at 4:15 p.m.
