Sodus proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 15) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Rochester Bombers, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now won four in a row.

Evan Laird spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Garrett Barron was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.

Sodus' victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for East Rochester, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Sodus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Rochester, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-10 win against Lyons on the 16th.
