We expand our MaxPreps Top 25 to look at more teams around the country.

The Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings were released last week and we now expand our look at the next 75 best in the game.

The teams in the Top 100 all have excellent pedigree, a tradition of success and big-time players fueling expectations of jumping into the MaxPreps Top 25 as the season progresses. Some are returning state champions while others are top contenders to bring home a title in 2022-23.

Our expanded list is dominated by the "Big Four" states — California, Florida, Georgia and Texas — which place 37 teams on the slate. Texas leads the way with 10 teams featured, Georgia and California are tied for second with nine teams each and Florida had seven teams make the cut.

In total, 29 different states along with the District of Columbia are represented. Nineteen of the 29 states had multiple teams selected and Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey and North Carolina join the big four states as the only eight with at least five.

Make sure to check back throughout the week for continued preseason high school basketball content as our MaxPreps Preseason All-America Team, underclassman to watch and tournament and events to watch for the 2022-23 season are on the docket.
