Soccer Recap: Imperial Falls Short of Madison in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Imperial can now relate to. They fell just short of the Madison Warhawks by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Imperial has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Imperial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison, they will challenge Brawley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madison's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
